In my last post, I spoke about making changes to a negative situation in our lives. But what if there’s something about ourselves that needs to change? A wrong attitude or thought pattern? One that’s unhealthy and doesn’t do us or anyone else any good?
This can be a lot trickier to determine. How are we to know when there’s something in our heart that needs to change?

Sometimes in life we get ourselves into situations that we feel we need to stay in. Situations that may not be the best for us to live up to our true potential.
Maybe we get stuck in a job we don’t like and feel we need to stay just because it’s stable and will pay the bills. Or maybe it’s a relationship we invest a lot of time in, so we feel we can’t just up and walk away.
But when any of these negative situations goes on for too long, it can begin to steal our joy and zest for life. I was thinking about how as soon as you mention you’re a Christian, suddenly people look at you differently. Like you must live a perfect life and never do anything wrong, all pure and innocent while strumming a harp and sitting with perfect posture, living life in harmony with all of creation.
