This goes without saying, but these sure have been some interesting times. In some ways it feels like we are more divided than ever before, yet in other ways it feels like we are uniting more and more each and every day. It’s almost as if the world is splitting into two somehow. It’s all in how you view things, I suppose…
Have you ever looked around and tried to decipher all that is happening right now with spiritual eyes, or are you just taking it all at face value? I’m one who tends to dig a little deeper into things in an attempt to see the truth behind the lies. What is really going on here? There is so much that doesn’t add up or make sense, there must be more to it. Right?
I want to preface this by saying that I consider myself a Christian through and through, but also believe in concepts that you don’t typically hear in the Christian community. I feel there are many mysteries in the Bible and that there are truths to be found in many of the great religions of the world. I tend to keep an open mind and ask the Lord for spiritual discernment in a quest for absolute truth.
That said, there is a concept in Hinduism known as Kali Yuga. I’m certainly no expert on the subject, but I have done some research on it and from all I see going on around us, it definitely seems to have some connection to what may actually be happening right now. Below is a list I pulled from Wikipedia. It sure does sound a lot like our world right now, doesn’t it?
Prophesied events[edit]
A discourse by Markandeya in the Mahabharata identifies some of the attributes of Kali Yuga.[16]
In relation to rulers, it lists:
- Rulers will become unreasonable: they will levy taxes unfairly.
- Rulers will no longer see it as their duty to promote spirituality, or to protect their subjects: they will become a danger to the world.
- People will start migrating, seeking countries where wheat and barley form the staple food source.
- “At the end of Kali-yuga, when there exist no topics on the subject of God, even at the residences of so-called saints and respectable gentlemen of the three higher varnas (guna or temperament) and when nothing is known of the techniques of sacrifice, even by word, at that time the Lord will appear as the supreme chastiser.” (Srimad-Bhagavatam (2.7)
It is also scheduled that the Bhagavata Purana will be composed.
With regard to human relationships, Markandeya’s discourse says:
- Avarice and wrath will be common. Humans will openly display animosity towards each other. Ignorance of dharma will occur.
- Religion, truthfulness, cleanliness, tolerance, mercy, physical strength and memory diminish with each passing day.
- People will have thoughts of murder with no justification and will see nothing wrong in that.
- Lust will be viewed as socially acceptable and sexual intercourse will be seen as the central requirement of life.
- Sin will increase exponentially, while virtue will fade and cease to flourish.
- People will become addicted to intoxicating drinks and drugs.
- Gurus will no longer be respected and their students will attempt to injure them. Their teachings will be insulted, and followers of Kama will wrest control of the mind from all human beings.
- All the human beings will declare themselves as gods or boon given by gods and make it as a business instead of teachings.
- People will no longer get married and live with each other just for sexual pleasure.
- Weather and environment will degrade with time and frequent and unpredictable rainfalls will happen.
- Earthquakes will be common.
- Maximum age of humans will be 50 years by the end of Kali Yuga.
- Many fake ideologies will spread throughout the world.
- The powerful people will dominate the poor people.
- Many diseases will spread.
- At the end of Kali Yuga, lord Vishnu will take birth on earth to wipe out the sinners.
Basically, all impurities are being exposed right now – both on a personal level and in the collective as a whole. When I say exposed, I mean the light is being shed on all things that have been hidden for a very long time. They are being exposed to the Light of Truth so that they can be shown for all to see. I truly believe we are at the ending of an age and about to enter into a new and much, much better way of existence. We must purify ourselves in order to survive this spiritual fire. Only what is true shall remain.
From the outside this looks like the chaos that we are seeing play out worldwide. However, what is really happening is that the Light is revealing the darkness, and as a result it is no longer able to hide in the shadows where it has for a millenia. The new age we are heading into (the Golden Age/Age of Aquarius/1000 year reign of Christ) will be an age of beauty, love, truth and unity. So if this is true, the old corrupt ways must first be destroyed to create new and better ones. Like I said, it will look like chaos but in reality it is just the old system crumbling to make way for the new.
As I mentioned, this will happen on both a personal and collective level. For example, if you have areas in your life where you have not been truthful or have attempted to deceive, your lies or whatever game it was that you were playing will be exposed. The new energies anchoring into the planet right now cannot support those ways any longer, so they must fall away. Are you finding this to be true in your own life? If not, I imagine you soon will.
As a collective example, all of the corrupt systems are being dismantled one by one. That is why the world appears to be in so much chaos right now. The dark ones that have robbed us of our true heritage for so long are now being exposed, and they are panicking. They know they can no longer hide. It’s time to pay the piper. The harvest season is upon us and we will all reap what we have sowed – good or bad.
The Bible has plenty to say about this purifying fire as well. There are many verses about God using fire to destroy the evil ones. Does this refer to literal fire? Perhaps. Who am I to say? But what if instead, it’s referring to the same spiritual fire I am speaking of. The fire that will burn away all impurities, both in our own hearts and in the collective. It’s all one in the same. As within, so without. Again I say, only what is true shall remain. All else will be dissolved – consumed by the fire, if you will. I’ve heard that message over and over again. Looking around, it certainly would appear that is the case.
So with all that said, those who are pure of heart have nothing to fear. We are heading to a beautiful place, the likes of which have not been seen here on Earth for a very long time. A time of peace, love, unity and living in harmony with all that is. Oneness – the true Body of Christ.
However…if you are living a life filled with lies, deception or any ego-based behavior, you are going to have a really rough road ahead. We MUST purge these ways out of our being. Surrender to the process. If not, it will be at your own peril as there is no place for them in the days and weeks ahead.
Have no fear, better days are drawing near. Once this all plays out, a glorious future lies ahead. Believe that. I truly feel these are the end times. But, with every end comes a new beginning. We are all about to be born – again. We are merely in the birth pangs of it all. Take care and much love to you all.
