There are a lot different ways to live your life in this big, crazy world.  Many of us will grow up, get a job, buy a house, maybe get married and have a family, and will just continue in the great circle of life until the good Lord calls them home.  Is there anything wrong with this?  I’m not saying that necessarily.  As long as you’re happy in what you’re doing!

Many however, are not happy.  They become stuck in a rut and life just becomes just a series of ho-hum days, which turn into ho-hum weeks, months and finally…years.

My friends, we are meant to live for so much more than this!  I speak from experience.  I was that person, going to the same ho-hum job every day, just doing what I felt I had to do.  But then I heard God’s call to me, telling me it was time for a change.  That He had much bigger plans for me.

And so, without knowing exactly what lied ahead, I closed my eyes, took a deep breath…and took that leap of faith into the great unknown.

And what has happened since has been an absolutely amazing series of events.  The Lord has His hand on my life, this I know.  I have learned to listen to His promptings even if I don’t understand completely or see the whole picture.

His current prompting in my life is to write a book about my journey thus far and show how His hand has guided me throughout it all.  I want to share with the world what He has done for me and the things He has taught me through my experiences.  The same things He wants to share with all of you.

This blog is called Obedient Hearts for a reason.  I go forward in faith always, knowing God is in control and that He would never steer me wrong.  I trust in Him completely, and I trust that my writing a book is His next step for my life, and I look forward to sharing it with all of you.
